“Radical”, definition by TheFreeDictionary.com, “1. One who advocates fundamental or revolutionary changes in current practices, conditions, or institutions: radicals seeking to overthrow the social order.” Well, that does and does not cover it. Fortunately for me, I have friends on this earth that are educating me in the path that leads to Christ… (oh crap, another religious zealot). Yes and No.
“Radical” part, I am one who advocates fundamental and/or revolutionary changes of ….. you can read it above. You see, I really have enjoyed my life, but it has been missing something and Jesus was part of the missing pieces. I advocate change, just as Jesus did, further back as Elijah did, even further back as far as Genesis. I hope I can clearly explain the thought, here it goes… Mankind is born exactly alike. Skin hues and cultures aside, we are ALL IDENTICAL at birth. As we experience life, we become that life, which kind of defines us. Mankind is prone to following the easy path, which often steers us away from Godliness. So there has always been and will always be the need for change. Change of turning towards God.
Ordinary, I am unique, just like everyone else… :) To be honest, I have stolen without request, the title from others of, “Orinary Radical”. As a matter of fact you can navigate to www.theordinaryradicals.com and get more information about them and the simple way. I am using (sorry) and my choice the name 1 ordinary radical, because I support much of what they stand for.
Note: The example sentence included in the FreeDictionary definition, I left on purpose. There are other definitions that go along with the word “radical” that do not mean “to overthrow the social order…” A semi-wise man told me, “Words mean things…”. What he was stating was, KNOW what the word means when you use it. I challenge you to push that a little harder and “understand the words being used.“ Society/Government/Media/Big Brother wishes to adjust your understanding of the english language to associate negative thoughts to certain words. “Evangelical”, “Fundamental”, “Jesus Freak”, “Charismatic”, words to describe followers of Jesus that are not bad words, but the system would have you believe that.
