Well today kiddies, we’re going to plagiarize THREE words from Free Dictionary.com (www.freedictionary.com) They are;
Marriage:
1.
a. The legal union of a man and woman as husband and wife.
b. The state of being married; wedlock.
c. A common-law marriage.
d. A union between two persons having the customary but usually not the legal force of marriage: a same-sex marriage.
2. A wedding.
Love:
1. A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
2. A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
Divorce:
1. The legal dissolution of a marriage.
2. A complete or radical severance of closely connected things.
Here’s the trappings of the world upon us again. Only one word above is specific enough to reference the relationship between a “man and woman”, why is that? Is that the correct term, or a homophobic definition. It seems that one of our continental 48 has decided that is is O.K. for same sex partners to be wed and again we are thrust into a battle of extremist. The saddest part is, the far conservatives that wish to shoot this measure down refer to themselves as “christians” (purposely NOT capitalized). Why is that?
Before you get on a soap box and start telling me/the world your opinion, please consider this. As a maturing humankind, we have fought similar issues to find, as we have matured, the issue was irrelevant. My best example would be mixed race marriages. While there are still some who do not condone this union, as a whole, it is accepted through out the world. My other point I wish to make to anyone that has a counterpoint, “Just exactly, who are you to decide whom someone else can love?” Would it be right for ME do have the right to decide for YOU, whom you can and cannot love/marry? You are a southerner, you have brown eyes which is indicative of unpure lineage, therefore you cannot marry a person from the northern region with blue eyes, an indication of pure lineage… Now doesn’t that sound ignorant? Likewise, us “christians” are getting divorced at a rate of 50-60%, who are we to tell someone else they cannot be wed?
Someone about now is saying, “well the bible says homosexuality is a sin!” Yep, you are right, so is lying, stealing, fornication, greed…. the list goes on. Man was born with sin and will die with sin, this is a cold hard truth. I believe the exact quote is, John 8:7, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” We are given this life not to throw stones, but to stop others from throwing stones, hence why Jesus pushes me to write things like this.
Additionally, I am trying to get this here plank out of my eye….
Love to ALL of you,
1OR

Truly, we cannot control who we end up loving. Who am I to try to control others who are in the same boat I am?
Who’s to say the God was not involved in getting two people together?
I choose not to judge others in that manner.
Here is a startling fact about our youth.
“It is estimated that about one in three teenaged suicides is by a gay or lesbian. Since homosexuals represent only about 5% of the population, this number is staggering.
That said, I wish as a whole that society was more tolerant.
We as Christians are expected to love one another. No where does it designate any other criteria or ‘weeding out’ of those who are not of the majority.
